"Another Roadside Attraction" is a collaboration between New England- based songwriter/performers Kate Murray and Brian Weiland. Bridging the nexus between country, rock, and acoustic music, their sound ranges from delicately plaintive wistful balladry to toe-tapping hard-driving burn-up-the-dance-floor numbers. With strong melodies, catchy hooks, intelligent lyrics, powerful vocals, and brilliant musicianship, this band appeals to a wide range of listeners.
Kate's clear, sultry, dynamic, bluesy voice has been heard on stages from Los Angelos to New York City to Boston and Cape Cod, garnering accolades at every venue. She is an accomplished, versatile and well-respected songwriter who, in addition to her solo work and her involvement with Another Roadside Attraction, has also written children's music and worked in musical theatre.
Brian is a multi-instrumentalist and singer who has worked extensively as a session musician, achieved recognition as a songwriter and composer, released independent solo, instrumental, and children's CDs, and toured extensively throughout the Northeast.
The pair has recorded a three-song teaser demo EP of their original material which has been selling briskly at their live shows and has received airplay on WMVY. They are now hard at work recording their debut full-length CD, "Atlas Pages." |
